Ali Lohan: The next generation of socialite/celebrity wannabe's that we pay attention to for some reason?
As most celebrity gossip fans know Ali Lohan is the younger sister of Lindsay Lohan. She's also desperate to follow in her train-wreck of a sister's footsteps and be a big "star". Whether this is something she decided on her own from watching her sisters antics, or if her fame-whore parents implanted the thought into her head that she should want that kind of life I don't know.
But I do know she was going to have a reality show that never ended up happening, and that I've seen photos of her gallavanting around LA with her sister clubbing at the age of only 16. Not to mention heard those implant rumours that were floating around about for a while. And I just can't help thinking what the hell?
Most parents would not let their teenage daughter carry on like that. But then Lindsay's parents aren't exactly what you would call most parents are they? They're so hungry for the spotlight themselves that they don't seem to comprehend that they're destroying their kids lives. Well I should say daughters' lives as for the time being it looks like Lindsay's brother Cody seems fairly normal.
And then I saw this photo on TMZ and just snapped.

Look at the way Ali is dressed here. She looks 30 years old. She looks older than Lindsay. And there's Dina smiling away next to her like there's nothing wrong with the way Ali is dressed. But then in her eyes I guess there isn't.
What really frustrates me is that when Ali reaches of age we're likely to be seeing a lot more of her whether we want to or not. She's like Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian. Shoved in our face via all the magazines and gossip sites because for some reason people find these sorts of people interesting. Even Barack Obama knows who Snooki is and I'm still trying to work that one out.
So my questions are twofold.
1. Why are these people famous to begin with? Is it that after Britney's meltdown we've becoming fixated on watching the slow decline of starlets with addictions to fame and drugs/alcohol/whatever else they're doing? and 2. What sort of affect is this having on children?
I only ask because I see these women plasted all over the media. It's who our young girls are watching on reality tv or seeing in the magazines and idolising. Wanting to dress tarty just like their favourite reality stars way before their time. Miley Cyrus and the like are even marketed towards children and society seems ok with that.
Is this really how we want our children to dress?

Because the way things are going this is how our daughters are going to all want to dress. You can't say it isn't true. I babysat my 7 year old neice for the summer before she went back to school and I was shocked at some of the things that were going on in the shows on Disney channel that she was watching. They watch the shows, they see these people plastered all over the magazines and they hear music like Rihanna's Rude Boy on commercial stations and sing along. Sure they might be innocent to what the song means but they're still singing it. I just think there's something wrong with the world when tweens and young teens are being sexed up before their time.
And it's not just Ali being sexed up. The Kardashians are just as keen to market their young blood by having the two youngest daughters of the family recently doing some very skimpy bikini shoots. And they're but 13 and 12. Way too young to be doing things like that. Not that the Kardashian family care. And since they get attention for it whether its negative or positive they'll continue to do it.
Anyway, having had my little rant for the day I'd just like to close by saying I really hope the Lohan family doesn't go down the path I see for their future. And that is Lindsay dying from some kind of overdose/reckless behaviour/suicide and then the Lohans cashing in by pushing Ali as the next Lindsay. I really hope that Dina wakes up to herself and sees the damage she's causing to her daughter before its too late. I think we all agree it's probably too late for Lindsay to change, but I'd like to hope maybe it's not... yeah that's a bit of a pipe dream isn't it?

I couldn't agree more, our famous young stars do not leave anything for the imagination any more. I'm not sure they even know what real class and style is. Fashion is only half to blame here, since nobody makes these woman dress this way at all. Too bad it looks like the younger sister is going for a tough road too, hopefully she learns something from big sister's behaviors that actually will turn her back around. This has been known to happen before. Voted you up here too.
