Great Coupon Sites

Today's hub is all about coupons. I'm currently working part time casual and looking for full time work, so money is a bit tight for me at the moment. To try and save some money on my ever-growing grocery bill I decided to hunt down the best coupon sites for you all.

Now there is virtually a sea of coupon sites out there. So I took the time to research what are the best sites around. To do this I looked at a lot of top 10 blogs, word of mouth comments in message boards, hub pages that others have made on this topic, and just by researching on my own. After all that I think I've come up with a pretty decent list of coupon and bargain hunting sites for you all.

I'm not going to rate them in any particular order, because when it comes down to it everyone has their own opinion on what site is better than another. Everyone has different needs when it comes to coupons so I'm just going to list them for you.

Now I must note when I was putting this list together I took in a number of factors when making my decision.

*They had to service my local area
*They had to be easy to navigate and search through.
*They had to be sites that didn't require signing up to gain access to the coupons (Because really who wants to sit there filling out account information over and over just to get a few coupons?)
and last but not least:
*The coupons had to be "realistic" in that they were coupons that were actually of good value. I don't want a coupon for a dollar off some obscure diet bar that I'm never going to buy. I want real value on everyday items.

So having taken all that into account I present to you my list of coupon sites.

Coupons.com
Well I had to do the obvious first. Coupons.com is probably the first place anyone ends up when looking for coupons and they are well worth the visit. The coupons are seperated into sections so you can find what you're looking for easily. It's bright and cheerful and easy to collect your coupons. You do have to download some software to actually print them but it's not a big download.
Downsides: The search bar at the top doesn't seem to work (or it wasn't when I was trying to use it) and for some reason once you've browsed all the available coupons for a particular category the rest of the coupons show up too which is a little silly. Overall it's good but not the best.

FreeShipping.org
I really like this site. I wish I'd known of it sooner. Freeshipping is exactly that - a site for finding free shipping for online stores. It has a lot of the big names there (I'll especially get use out of the Amazon ones as I'm a huge Amazon fan) and you can set up alerts so you know whenever they have a new coupon available. Since it's for online shopping it provides a code instead of a coupon, to be used at checkout.

SmartSource.com
Lets you browse by store or item type and has a good range.This site seems to pretty much stick to grocery coupons though. Also from what I can tell these are also deals that are already being offered in the store, so rather than giving you special online discounts it's just advising you of the current sales on at the stores. All in all it's still a handy site and many recommended it so I put it on the list.

OneWayShopping.com
This is a great site. It covers pretty much everything and has tonnes of coupons for offline shopping. You can filter down to specific items, filter by price, store and everything in between. Very easy to navigate and has a great range.
Downsides: Well it's only for online shopping. Would be nice to see some for offline shopping too.

Savings.com
Again this is a site mostly covering online shopping, but it has a lot of big brands and does provide some printable coupons. You can search by store, brand and item so you should have no trouble finding what you're after.

Dazzling Deals
This site isn't the prettiest to look at but it has some great deals. Seems to focus mainly on percentages so you may get some great discounts from here.

PromotionalCodes.com
This is another great site. They've put a lot of thought into the layout and you can browse by most used promotional codes, staff favourites, free shipping codes, the item type, store, and lots of other ways. Again mostly online stores focus but there's some good inclusions like netflix.
